Are We There Yet?

This was absolutely bone-chilling. I won’t quote, because it’s long, and because you should read the entire thing.

I will say that, like tristero over at Digby’s place, I don’t think such a “Swiss watch” approach to history allows for enough entropy and variation. But, also like tristero, I don’t think Robinson is off-base in her analysis, either.

The updated version says that the man was “kept under surveillance at all times” according to police. While that seems like a no-brainer, let’s not let such reassurances diminish or conceal the impact of what you see below: an armed man attending a Presidential town hall to protest, wearing his sidearm prominently, and carrying a sign calling for “the blood of tyrants.” In America, 2009:
